Thunderbolt can cary a video signal to a monitor and can be daisy chained. Thunderbolt also has a smaller form factor than a standard USB 3.0 A-type connector.

Seeing as how the vast majority of prebuilt computers still don't come with video cards or they come with extremely crappy video cards. I would say that manufacturers caring about consumers is still a few decades off.

Thunderbolt, no one gives a fuck if these ports are faster than USB, absoloutley everything uses a USB connection and if it does not use USB its only purpose is to be laughed at, People and companies need to stop wasting time money and effort on these new connections because yes they are great and all but as I said before everything has USB and so everyone will conitnue to use USB and simply get pissed off if their device has some other connection on it rather than USB
