Whatever mods you would have installed, aren't necessarily there with your friend. So if you wore an outfit or weapon that was mod-added, your friend might not only not see it, but even get errors for missing assets. The MP mod for Skyrim fixed this by making your friend look like an escapee prisoner. But I can understand Beth saying that's not good enough, even though Fable II did it in a similar way.

I may have only payed $30 for a new copy of the game shortly after release due to being frugal and shopping for deals however I still honestly regret the purchase. It's those situations that keep me as a consumer buying old or used games on sale instead of buying new. It also keeps me away from risking money on a new IP because I really can't evaluate it.

It's much easier for me to validate risking $10-$15 on a new game that looks interesting instead of $50-$60. Thinking back in the last 10 years I honestly can't think of a single full priced purchase that wasn't part of a franchise I already enjoyed "Zelda, Metal Gear, Mario, Shenmu". $60 is a pretty big investment for something you have no clue of

It's an honest mistake, and I'm sure he wasn't trying to get us to agree, he just has a different opinion.
