How the hell can you say android failed? In the U.S. the only phone you can get with NFC is the Nexus S which runs Android. Now that WP7 is the OS for your beloved Nokia, you can wait a couple of years before WP7 supports NFC, then you can wait another two years for Microsoft to fix all the crappy glitches they're so famous for so that it will actually work.
