I love the comment you make about how fearful children are when faced with the Christian perception of the world and how amazed they are when given the chance to think about the world from a scientific perspective.

I remain constant in believing that religion and science are not mutually exclusive, but that science is a layer before religion with religion above it. In essence, science is how everything works. One can stop there. Or one can continue with religion and say that there is an architect that created science as his tool. Just as computer programs can be broken down to written code, physics and everything else can be broken down to science. Regardless, to ignore science is folly.
