are you plugging deans connectors into traxxas connectors?
[2012-05-22 04:26:33] AdamDevigili - He did menton that ...He did menton that...
[2012-05-22 01:23:17] DarkOnyx - Awesome tutorial. Awesome tutorial.
[2012-05-15 02:22:05] fordtraxxas - I have a charger ...I have a charger that charges throu the balincing tab is that god or bad i havent used it so I dont know
[2012-05-11 15:13:29] rccarca - ... infinite and ...... infinite and you'll blow up something. A fuse, if these batteries have one, or wire leads, or permanently damage the cells.
[2012-05-11 15:12:16] rccarca - What he also forgot ...What he also forgot to mention is, if you want to parallel charge, Please make sure all your batteries are at same voltage level, make sure they are all discharged. Don't parallel connect cells that are half discharged with fully drained one. if you connect batteries of different voltages together in parallel, one with higher voltage start to charge the lower one, and since theses cells are capable of supplying high current and there are no loads(resistance) between the cells current becomes...
[2012-05-11 15:06:48] rccarca - When charging ...When charging lithium based cells, I would place it outside, not inside the house... I am not sure if these cells have active battery management system to monitor during charging, but if they are over charged, it will catch on fire!!! So not a bad idea to invest in a good charger.
[2012-05-10 04:49:40] jasonkdarling - I have both... no ...I have both... no complaints on either. Just be sure to get the amp delivery you need for your system... To calculate the discharge rate of your pack... mah x minimum discharge C rate / 1,000 = available amps For example, I'll use the same 2200mah 20-40C pack. 2,200 x 20 / 1000 = 44 This battery pack can consistently provide up to 44 amps.
[2012-05-10 04:48:22] jasonkdarling - You can charge at ...You can charge at 40amps as long as this amperage is at or below the charge C rating. Remember; parallel charging adds up mAh, not cell count.
[2012-05-10 04:46:46] jasonkdarling - Repair the wire!!Repair the wire!!
[2012-05-10 04:46:08] jasonkdarling - It looks to be a ...It looks to be a PowerLab... very good chargers.
[2012-05-10 04:45:43] jasonkdarling - It does not have to ...It does not have to be Deans... but the main plug is needed to parallel charge.
[2012-05-10 04:45:14] jasonkdarling - There is absolutely ...There is absolutely no danger charging in parallel. But, to each there own.
[2012-05-10 04:44:26] jasonkdarling - NoNo
[2012-05-10 04:44:07] jasonkdarling - This method works ...This method works with just about any charger... as long as it does not charge through the balance leads.
[2012-05-10 04:43:38] jasonkdarling - NoNo
[2012-05-10 04:43:14] jasonkdarling - Parallel charging ...Parallel charging only adds mAh (or Ah), not cell count. 4 4S 2200mAh = 1 4S 8800mAh
[2012-05-10 04:41:51] jasonkdarling - NO YOU CANNOT.NO YOU CANNOT.
[2012-05-10 04:41:01] jasonkdarling - NO. VERY unsafe.NO. VERY unsafe.
[2012-05-10 04:40:29] jasonkdarling - Yes. You just will ...Yes. You just will not have the full benefit of parallel charging due to the relatively low output of your charger.
[2012-05-10 04:39:18] jasonkdarling - The absolute most ...The absolute most you can afford. I have an iCharger... PowerLab makes a good charger as well. Your charger is the back bone of your RC hobby... treat it as such.
[2012-05-10 04:38:10] jasonkdarling - It does not matter ...It does not matter because everything is in parallel.
[2012-05-10 04:37:20] jasonkdarling - Not usually.Not usually.
[2012-05-10 04:37:05] jasonkdarling - There should not be ...There should not be any issues. I charge my Zippy and Turnigy batteries together all the time.... and the differences between the two are greater than what you have described.
[2012-05-10 04:35:46] jasonkdarling - ALWAYS balance ...ALWAYS balance charge. Fast charging is not safe, especially when parallel charging. 18.5 amps is correct according the the information you have provided... although I wouldn't charge at 5C.
[2012-05-10 04:33:17] jasonkdarling - NiMh batteries come ...NiMh batteries come with a Summit.... Parallel charging is for LiPo only, NOT NiMh.
[2012-05-10 04:32:18] jasonkdarling - I would never ...I would never suggest leaving any batter unattended while charging. I use Zippy LiPo's... have not had a single issue with them! They just take forever to arrive. lol
[2012-05-10 04:30:56] jasonkdarling - You can charge two ...You can charge two at 1C... which would be 10amps for two 5000mah batteries hooked in parallel. 1C is a safer charge rate unless the battery specifically states it can be charged at a higher C rate. If your charger is capable of 10 amps, charging two will take about the same time as charging 1.
[2012-05-10 04:28:46] jasonkdarling - You can parallel ...You can parallel charge with any charger... you just will not reap all the benefits of parallel charging without a high amp output charger. In other words, 5a will work; it will just take a while.... about 80 minuets from 3.4v/cell to 4.2v/cell vs about 45 minuets with a more capable charger.
[2012-05-10 04:25:43] jasonkdarling - A paraboard or ...A paraboard or parallel charging is not going to increase the output of your charger.
[2012-04-23 04:43:38] rocco23554346 - What's that hair ...What's that hair cut called
[2012-04-21 18:08:10] 1redneckseabee - I have noticed that ...I have noticed that you almost refuse to answer questions posted here...
[2012-04-18 19:52:27] PsnMcJens - I have a charger ...I have a charger for 4Amps but i want do charge a total of 8Amps, does this work?
[2012-04-15 06:36:40] eaxebxecxedx - can you tell me ...can you tell me what brand is your LiPo batt? thanks!
[2012-04-12 18:40:32] buzzr999 - i have 4 2.2a can ...i have 4 2.2a can i parallel charge them with a 5a charger or do i need a bigger charger
[2012-04-12 04:57:33] Bully259 - when doing this can ...when doing this can you double the charging amps? I have 4 batts. All 2s 5000mah. If I'm running two in my truck. Can't I charge two and instead charging at 1c. Can I charge at 2c and it be safe? Or stick with 1c? Answer me please rc nightmare!2
[2012-04-11 21:25:42] zak131998 - is it safe to ...is it safe to charge a 1000mah 3 cell lipo pack on 1 amp in a mobile home room and leave it there or is there a chance it will cetch on fire? i dnt have charge bag but i am planning on getting one soon. i have heard turnigy is good but shity for there costumer service and i ordered from there 4 weeks ago and my shipment has been in singapore for 2 and a half weeks now. please let me know what is good and what isnt good. perferibley inexpensive and reliable. thank you. :)
