I have done rework on satelite equipment and assembly. The soldering irons in the video look like the radio shack ones. Medcal or weller are more comon and come in ESD types. When soldering components there is a 3 second rule. if you use a iron hotter than 600 Deg. then that rule will change. You should also consider using some form of flux otherwise you can have a hard time with grounds.
