Also, the 2 electrons are more weakly bound than those of helium - meaning they are freer to form instantaneous dipole moments, thus increasing their strength of interaction. Size is over-rated. Number of electrons is a more significant parameter in these weak binding forces. H2 and He both have 2 electrons, but the H2 ones are more loosely bound.
