The design of this system has existed for some time and they've already launched the first of 3 satellites. The ground stations are also being installed. Did GPS manufacturers not communicate their concerns to the FCC before approval? Lightsquared has been allowed to supplement it's satellite coverage in the L frequency range for a long time. Is this also a case of GPS manufactures stepping over into Lightsquared fequency range?
