[2012-04-03 10:36:50] 1fatbastard - Why use a metal cut ...Why use a metal cut out? Just use some black-out adhesive vinyl (the kind used for signs) that you can cut with an exacto blade, it would come out much cleaner, and less mess to deal with.

[2011-11-29 20:52:17] FastestGoesFirst - i would replace ...i would replace those hand tools with dremel grinding bits. for example aluminium oxide stone those are found in many shapes and sizes so they'll fit in those little holes and sharp curves too. ( With those remember not to push too much aluminium oxide is pretty soft and will wear out in seconds if you push it too much into sharp edge... at least in china copies of dremel ;) just bought my first real dremel after third china copy starting to melt/smoking/firing while cutting/grinding metal)

No luck; the cutting wheel likes to dance all over the place and I can't get a decent, straight cut. Now I know what kind of cut-off wheel to use; to engrave first, then cut; to rest the wheel gently on the surface; to NOT try cutting straight across; to rest my arms on a wide stable surface and use both hands... I think I can finally do this. Will try again tonight.
