[2010-11-16 18:40:33] tuinkabouternl - is that an ...is that an anonymous icon there?
[2010-10-04 02:50:28] Lovaren83 - @paperbachwriter1: ...@paperbachwriter1: Perhaps he/she will. Show it. ;)
[2010-08-02 22:48:31] setlec - @ ...@MetSaufenderThorson you have any other experience on linux? because it surprise me that someone that used a linux based OS wihtout searching on the net for alternative soft for playing audio/video files on that particular OS.
[2010-07-02 04:14:56] twinesdr - I did it on a USB ...I did it on a USB thumb by win32diskimager. It seems like there are no way to boot from the SD card slot of the NC10 lol anyways, thanks for your suggestion.
[2010-07-01 20:40:24] w4csc - You must do two ...You must do two things to make it boot. It will not boot from the SD card slot, only USB. Plug the SD card with the image on it into a USB SD card adapter. Then, you must open the bootup control by pressing F1 several times to get into the boot Eprom before Windows starts and change the bootup sequence to include the USB card BEFORE it goes to the hard drive to bootup Windows. It's in the BIOS, press F1 until you see the BIOS screens. It'll find Meego first after this.
[2010-06-29 17:32:30] twinesdr - hello, I have a ...hello, I have a NC10 too, but I cannot boot the MeeGo image from SD lol Is there any setting need to go on the bios or somethings?
[2010-06-25 11:37:21] murfad - cool thanks! i'll ...cool thanks! i'll try it on my netbook (have a nc10 as well :D )
[2010-06-25 05:13:43] w4csc - Yes, I'm running ...Yes, I'm running Meego for Netbooks off a 16GB SDHC card plugged into a USB adapter so the Samsung NC10 will boot to it, first, by simply changing the boot load sequence on startup. The card was made from the image copy as per the good instructions here: /devices/netbook/installing-meego-your-netbook Then you just change the bootup to include the USB flash before booting from hard disk. Meego runs great, what there is of it with no software yet. Chrome runs great.
[2010-06-23 16:54:19] murfad - is it possible to ...is it possible to launch meego from a usb-drive without any permanent installation?
[2010-06-01 06:33:49] velthon - Try cc and see ...Try cc and see what he says :P
[2010-05-31 22:50:03] strike4may - what is this ...what is this netbook it look awesome
[2010-05-29 06:20:46] mukiex - Meego hit 1.0 a ...Meego hit 1.0 a couple of days ago. Acers don't COME with Meego. He either bought a used laptop with it or did it himself. Call Acer, have them send you a "recovery disc" (essentially a Windows install disc) for the laptop model he has. It'll cost a few bucks for shipping and you'll need a USB DVD drive, but that's your best bet right now.
[2010-05-24 18:11:19] RobeSlack - Waw.. I think I ...Waw.. I think I should install it on a notebook. . .
[2010-05-16 08:30:00] VampireEntertainment - So it is pretty ...So it is pretty much Moblin but nicer?
[2010-05-12 14:13:00] 00Gr1mm00 - you cant say that ...you cant say that everyone who is using windows is a retard its just very retarded to expect a netbook that came with meego to run windows windows itself is ok.There many dumb people out there.but you cant say that everyone who uses an OS you dont like is retarded. exept for Mac OS(just a joke)
[2010-05-06 08:02:18] jumanous - yeah.. you should ...yeah.. you should have no problem installing windows 7 off a usb stick. There are tutorials around, google is your friend.
[2010-04-27 06:33:12] DjChronokun - considering MeeGo ...considering MeeGo 1.0 hasn't been released yet he must have installed it on there himself, unless you are talking complete shit of course.
[2010-04-22 05:41:14] Keruaran - I think it will ...I think it will take time before you notice any radical change... And I think Meego is more an umbrella name for the combined project in general...
[2010-04-22 05:38:55] Keruaran - "MeeGo is so ..."MeeGo is so stupid..." Reasons given? None. "My friend has Acer with MeeGo and he wants to go on Windows but he can't somebody help :S" If your friend wanted Windows he should have bought a system that came with Windows. Many new smartbooks and tablets are not designed to run Windows; It's a different market segment. Would you buy an iPad and then complain you can't run Windows on it? No, wait... you probably would... Windows users are that retarded...
[2010-04-21 14:30:25] nikolaicholev - MeeGo is so stupid. ...MeeGo is so stupid... My friend has Acer with MeeGo and he wants to go on Windows but he can't somebody help :S
[2010-04-20 12:30:49] dodow1234 - how about the ...how about the battery life? My laptop will die in about 30 minutes without that goddamn power brick
[2010-04-19 15:50:59] sxpacks - as of now those ...as of now those are projected boot times. Moblin boot time was aimed for 2 seconds :)
[2010-04-16 18:23:21] statquo112 - thats why apple ...thats why apple will never grow beyond their 'innovations'
[2010-04-15 23:03:25] juan2968 - excelente meego, ...excelente meego, realmente a la espera de meego en smartphones :) viva GNU/Linux
[2010-04-15 17:06:02] seridyan - there is no maemo6 ...there is no maemo6...
[2010-04-15 16:11:33] voltune - Linux FTW!Linux FTW!
[2010-04-15 14:14:06] bigbrovar - yeah it would. but ...yeah it would. but even maemo6 is still just maemo in branding not in technology same as moblin 2.3(?) both would still retain the technologies of their individual platform before the merger. we can only start to see a real moblin after the release of maemo6
[2010-04-15 14:10:14] Toffelielain - Nokia's phone UIs ...Nokia's phone UIs will look different! There are some Harmattan UI screens somewhere.
