People often mediate this by increasing virtual memory paging files, which you can do by going to start -> control panel -> system -> advanced: then under performance: Settings, then advanced: then it will show your virtual memory paging file, increase this number to no higher than 4000mb, any higher degrades performance.

Netbooks have 512mb of fixed speed ram built into the motherboard, and have a single SO-DIMM slot available for upgrade; purchasing a 2gb SO-DIMM will increase performance considerably, however the speed of the ram is equally important: This netbook and most others use DDR2 Memory modules with supported speeds of up to 800mhz, i suggest purchasing a single 2gb 800mhz SO-DIMM. Color question: normally black is favored (white turns to yellow!).

[2009-03-19 21:36:49] TheBlitz1 - Yes the lenovo s10 ...Yes the lenovo s10 is better than the acer aspire one: Because of the layout of the motherboard: the acer aspire one, has its ram SO-DIMM slot facing the keypad, so to add ram, you have to remove the back panel, the motherboard, and then the keypad, which makes it more susceptible to permanent malfunction. Other than this design flaw, all netbooks are generally the same and incompass consumer market standards (i.e. wifi card, bluetooth support, included software budles, memory card readers).

The keyboard right shift key position is bad but the buttons feel better than even my full sized laptop. The touchpad is AWSOME, I prefer it over even bigger ones because it doesn't stop at the edge, the cursor keeps moving & even scrolls when you're out of the screen, sort of like a scroll wheel. I'm glad I bought this after all the shopping around, I love it...but the vid still seems biased.
