[2012-01-31 05:02:49] DSbaby15 - A few years ago ...A few years ago two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later the babysitter was calling to see if she could cover the clown statue in the kids' room. The father said " Get the kids out if the house, we'll cal the police, we don't have a clown statue". The "clown statue" was actually a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this on 10 videos tonight the clown will be in your bed at 3:00am with a chainsaw in his hand. Sorry don't want this to happen to me

[2011-11-05 20:35:24] Volta500 - That's because of ...That's because of internal resistance in the battery. If it were a supercap you would be right. See afrotechmods video about supercaps for more on this. watch?v=EoWMF3VkI6U
[2011-11-05 20:33:04] Volta500 - Well, with my name ...Well, with my name I just have to respond. Never knew Volta was such a ladies man lol. Nicely done. Keep 'em coming!
[2011-08-18 13:23:07] zackthegoth - another youtuber ...another youtuber lidmotor and I made basically a penny battery, mine is putting out 0.4v. lidmotor made one first then I tried it and it works!
[2011-07-26 21:04:30] Technoguy3 - If you touch a 9V ...If you touch a 9V battery to your tongue, why don't you die when you receive the electric shock? Amps = 9V/OHMs, so your body would have to put up a lot of resistance. Is that it? If there was a no-resistance path to ground that would be 9 Amps, and I know that's a heck of a lot more than what's needed to kill you.
[2011-07-19 13:32:08] RavenRof - Im in love. =3Im in love. =3

[2011-06-03 15:07:49] queglay - itd be cool if you ...itd be cool if you could go into a lead acid battery in more detail and show the relationship between electron flow and heat emission.
[2011-04-07 08:26:51] h23sirlude - thanksthanks
[2011-03-27 20:19:06] LedgerLines - you are so damn ...you are so damn cool Jeri, I don't think it's possible that I could idolize you any more. Thanks for geeking-out beautiful :) 23 yo Electronics Engineer in Dayton OH
[2011-03-04 19:32:06] nullsmack - I have the exact ...I have the exact same cheap DMM from harbor freight. Yay!
[2011-03-01 17:04:15] vmelkon - Zinc makes Zn 2+ ...Zinc makes Zn 2+ ions, not Zn +. Also, I believe that the copper is already coated with copper hydroxide and carbonate. When you connect, each zinc atom loses 2 electrons while each copper ion gains 2 electrons and becomes copper metal and releases hydroxide and carbonate ion into solution. This same technique could be used on silverware to reduce silver compounds to silver metal.
[2011-02-09 08:24:25] TheSolarmike - Do you just go out ...Do you just go out and buy 40 nine volt duracells? Once I bought 16 nine volt batteries and did the same thing. I have six 36 volt dewalt LiFePO4 batteries! and counting
[2011-01-31 15:49:32] jeriellsworth - I've received a lot ...I've received a lot of emails about this. It seems people feel very strongly in both directs. I hope they find it was plating, which is more geeky than protecting scrolls.
[2011-01-31 15:47:30] jeriellsworth - I need a bigger ...I need a bigger budget to make 1kv chains. Very nice.
[2011-01-31 12:33:08] wbeaty - I was depressed ...I was depressed when I heard that ancient batteries could also be copper prayer scrolls sealed in jars and buried for good luck in the foundations of new buildings. DOH. Makes too much sense. If only they had a sealed, uncorroded one. See if the copper is covered with writing.
[2011-01-31 12:24:14] wbeaty - Heh, I avoided all ...Heh, I avoided all mention of "9V batt bandoliers" on my site (aiming at grade school kids, parents would freak.) We did make a 1KV 12ft chain of old 9Vs at a local meeting. Write your initials in flaming charcoal on a damp board using clipleads. Or big electrolysis gas evolution in tap water (no salt.) At 1KV you can attract/repel a hanging strip of charged scotchtape. Scitoys was first to dare revealing the secret of 9V chains on a kids site.
[2011-01-29 08:35:06] jeriellsworth - Those are ...Those are Napoleons sisters.
[2011-01-29 08:22:00] bddblade - Geeze this is wayyy ...Geeze this is wayyy above my level of intelligence, but got a good laugh of when she said that one guy is a ladies man and the 2 "ladies" were dudes haha.

[2011-01-27 02:56:48] ericmathison1 - Jeri, You're what ...Jeri, You're what the modern America is missing. Keep up the great videos and please continue to make the act of learning fun! Btw, adafruit.com is a great shop. She provides helpful customer service, high-quality products and resourceful tutorials on her site ladyada.net. Wishing you a successful 2011!
[2011-01-25 02:27:40] ParallaxGL - I was under the ...I was under the impression that the clay pot batteries were used in electroplating gold. I remember watching a show that theorized many of the gold items found in Egyptian tombs were just gold plated lead. They said the size of the battery would produce enough electricity to do the job.
[2011-01-24 00:53:50] TheFutureLooksGrimm - Holly Canolies! 4: ...Holly Canolies! 4:-7 Do you buy your batteries in bult? lol expensive Duracells too! My fav part 0:38 *bzzziiiit!* "Wowa that hurtz!" LOL! hahaha :D I have pictures of inventers like Tesla in my apartment but I suddenly feel inspired to print cutouts of them and make some sort of collage hahaha.
