I roofed in Omaha, Ne for 3yrs and have replaced litterally tons of sheathing. Cut sheathing on the ground and "tap" it before you hand it. We never had anyone slip fully off a roof before but several close calls from sawdust. I would definately get this. Sure most of your chalkline cuts are going to be squares+rectangles where a chalkbox claw works but the angle cuts like valleys and dormers need the accuracy simple chaklboxes alone don't deliver plus this has a built in tape blade holder.
[2012-03-11 23:01:42] unknownunknownknow - Nifty little ...Nifty little invention .. I have a few ideas myself but most of mine are on a system I've engineered , Only one is a product ,idea I have yet to try ..I like the response about cutting sheathing atop the roof .. I've done it before , but for low pitch and the way some of these roofs are today ,, it just isn't safe
[2012-02-26 14:09:52] vlineguy - I guess I better ...I guess I better refund the 500 unreal construction workers in California , Washington and Oregon's money that bought v-lines and sent me emails on how much they like them! I personally build custom homes with pitch's steeper than 6/12 and tons of angle's and hate walking on sawdust on the roof .
[2012-02-26 04:29:49] fishjnky - You can tell they ...You can tell they aren't from the west coast.real roof sheathers cut on the roof and save more time than having a ground guy. neat little tool you got there but not really necessary. I can chalk line faster w/o it and don't have problems with the line slipping.

[2012-01-20 08:24:48] westbororapist - 8 penny nails or ...8 penny nails or staples. What do you use instead of osb? BTW my tool belt consists of a hammer, measuring tape, pencil, knife, chalkline, speed square and nails (8 penny, 12 penny). Plenty of room for what looks like a plastic tool less than the size of a speed square, not to mention that it's capable of being clamped your belt anyways.
[2012-01-19 20:29:05] otumoetaipat - nice little tool, ...nice little tool, good if you are cutting lots. fuck having it in your apron all day though. im amazed you guys in the usa are using chipboard (osb) what do you clad it with? that stuff is fucking horrible

Only reason i've gone threw 3 is because i'm a welder and i have melted a few. You should think of making one just for welders that can resist a bit of heat, went U have huge pieces of sheet metal to mark cuts or weld points i just put tape where i don't need marks and snap rather than struggling or have someone help me measure up this tool is amazing
