Since these are of a relatively simple design (as apposed to the more common flat panels) and they are deployed in a desert, I'm quire sure they will more than make up for the energy it took to produce them.

You must have around the clock maintenance personnel on site and it takes fossil fuels to create all of these moving parts to start with. So where might I ask is the savings? Cost a buck to produce 10 cents???
