[2012-05-23 00:29:23] alpharage - I'm not a great ...

I'm not a great mind in videogame development ..why would anyone care about my opinion on future gaming? :p What you are saying is precisely what I meant. These guys are the grand fathers of gaming and I would enjoy seeing their reaction to a further point in the shockwave they unleashed upon the world.

[2012-05-22 13:16:35] HerecomestheCalavera - Think back then two ...

Think back then two professional looking smart people ran a show about computer games and consoles games. In 2012 it would be some dumb bitch like "Hey y'all kickin down here at double c with a new game from Rockstar ah take it away! *plays trailer "Damn that shit loooked tight I can't wait to play that" Have we really come that far? That shuttle launch dude should make a game now. Maybe he has been since 84! Damn that shits gonna be tight! see ppl in the future say that

[2012-05-22 13:11:18] HerecomestheCalavera - It's insane how he ...

It's insane how he is talking about that spaceship game like it is so real! But even in 1984 the Atari 2600 was old. He should have put it out on the Sega SG-1000 lol probably the best console of the time and he could have released a whole rocket controller!

[2012-05-21 13:41:53] azmanntoz - thats a bit ...

thats a bit backwards....without these guys games like Uncharted wouldn't exist. Also aren't you worried your comment will date? future gamers will laugh at your idea of what is high tech and will probably want to sit you down.

[2012-05-21 07:51:31] vta1985 - The first two guys ...

The first two guys were really creepy.

[2012-05-19 15:18:16] lasjd11 - Why would we show ...

Why would we show them an outdated console ? HE HE HE ! :D

[2012-05-12 15:57:36] Groose1972 - Those guys are ...

Those guys are probably still around today, and they probably own a smartphone and perhaps a PS3.

[2012-05-10 16:09:10] Ninjahorse - I AM SINISTAR!

I AM SINISTAR!

[2012-05-10 00:28:32] romefox - I disagree, games ...

I disagree, games like gta 4 and basically any game with a very good storyline will always have replay value down the line. Also, I specifically said 30 years because technology advances so far in 3 decades as stated by Moores law that the games of today will not function properly on computers 30 years from now since everything from the operating system to the SSD and processor will not support older code. Sort of like Dos games on windows 7!

[2012-05-09 18:46:15] HardWarUK - Yet despite what ...

Yet despite what you say, some of the best games, Zelda, Mario, Doom, came out in the 90's and are sill played today. Will it be the same for 2012 games in 20 years? I think not!

[2012-05-09 18:44:16] HardWarUK - The worst DRM in ...

The worst DRM in the industry, buying up great developers and turning them into dust, too much power in the industry, Origin's enforced online connection to play, the originator of the follow up with slight changes, the originator of the 8 hour gameplay game for $60, the company that is leading the charge to remove used games, was at the forefront of taking PC games out of big boxes with proper manuals & maps, etc into DVD cases so they could release Collector Editions for $100! Is that enough?!

[2012-05-09 16:56:40] DaniFazeres - How damaging are ...

How damaging are they?

[2012-05-03 16:33:32] fitthrowing hellride - If you could go ...

If you could go back in time and show these guys a PS3 or a smartphone, their dicks would simultaneously explode.

[2012-05-03 12:09:47] allooutrick - The only two good ...

The only two good modern games EA released in my opinion are bio shock 1 and dead space

[2012-05-02 12:51:24] fpvshitsonhsv - Space Shuttle was ...

Space Shuttle was one of the most in depth game ever programed for the Atari 2600. You have know atleast a little about programing and technology to truly understand the achievement.

[2012-05-01 18:00:18] cygil1 - I've heard Chris ...

I've heard Chris Crawford was/is one of the nicest guys in computing. But he does have that creepy Jack NIcholson vibe going on.

[2012-04-25 01:10:06] f4keidea - The flight game ...

The flight game looks suspiciously like "Afterburner" which seems out of place since it wasn't released until 1987; the two other games intertwined in that sequence are "Space Ace" and "Pole Position". All three games are captured from state-of-the-art arcade systems in the mid 80s, while the hyper-nerdy shuttle simulation and the other games featured on the show runs on "cheap" home systems from the late 70s.

[2012-04-24 19:25:36] WikiWaki91 - epic (and that ...

epic (and that isn't meant sarcasticly)

[2012-04-24 05:37:24] romefox - The funny thing is, ...

The funny thing is, 30 years from now, people will look back to the year 2012 to witness how primitive technology was. The most impressive piece of computer hardware today will seem useless in the future, but every generation has advancements, gaming would have never existed if people like these did not refine and evolve the technology over time!

[2012-04-22 17:45:08] nejnej00 - hahaha :D

hahaha :D

[2012-04-22 15:17:42] Johngu1tar - Happy times. Now? ...

Happy times. Now? NOW SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GIMME YOUR WALLET

[2012-04-22 13:26:19] HardWarUK - This is the problem ...

This is the problem - myopic gamers. It's not about liking one or two games, it's about EA now being in the forefront of getting rid of used games, of having absolutely ridiculous DRM and generally was the fist company to start "streamlining" games and making them all suitable for spotty 13 year old males!

[2012-04-22 10:39:38] tempchan4comments2 - Yes, can't believe ...

Yes, can't believe he's 58 years old as of today.

[2012-04-22 10:27:35] tempchan4comments2 - and then he says "I ...

and then he says "I understood that problem. I come to realize you would need to be a psycho to try this game."

[2012-04-22 10:21:50] tempchan4comments2 - Whats wrong with EA ...

Whats wrong with EA, I like some of there games. Medal of honor:AA, Battlefield series.

[2012-04-20 17:16:12] Bradgilliswhammyman - These games weren't ...

These games weren't necessarily aimed at children, if anything they were aimed at adults.

[2012-04-20 17:15:07] Bradgilliswhammyman - This is amazing, ...

This is amazing, the computer road trip from 1975 to 1995 is unbelievable. Bill Budge could double as leading man for a futuristic sci fi epic or action film. These man are legends...no one could have imagined where gaming and computers would be in 2012. The rocket game is a good analogy for the evolution of the computer industry and academic space.

[2012-04-19 00:42:19] SteveGad - At 04:41 is anyone ...

At 04:41 is anyone else detecting a touch of Jack Nicholson here?

[2012-04-17 23:06:44] TRenforcer - SPACEWAR! was the ...

SPACEWAR! was the grandaddy of all computer games!!!

[2012-04-17 08:14:37] Boletopishere - The guy that made ...

The guy that made this space shuttle game is hilarious, he looks so serious while talking about this game, it looks like all the astronauts should beat this game before they are allowed to fly a real space shuttle.

[2012-04-17 01:22:53] vindelextreme - for the space ...

for the space shuttle game, if kids can't understand how to play without reading a long ass manual they won't fucking play it dumbass

[2012-04-12 22:37:19] nejnej00 - "can a kid or ...

"can a kid or NORMAL person " hahah xD

[2012-04-08 16:24:10] farcher3 - that guy o put 13 ...

that guy o put 13 monts of progeramming to make an awesome 8k game for its time. Too bad all of atari game progeramers were not as dedicated as that guy then atari 2600 would be a much better system than it was.

[2012-04-08 11:56:37] McVaio - And wow, Micro ...

And wow, Micro Focus is still in business!
