Sweet! >:D
[2012-05-21 02:21:08] sonicwingnut - Tempted to do this ...Tempted to do this with an old PC I've got. Only thing is I noticed most people doing it are using bigger fishtanks than they need, based on the ATX form factor a 12L tank I saw would fit vertically and it's only 18cm thick so providing you don't have some insane cooler or GPU you could have a system with a lot smaller tank (and a lot less baby oil). Obviously the change will be going on a Big Daddy figure from Bioshock.
[2012-05-20 23:03:16] MrCronickush420 - Oil does not ...Oil does not conduct electricity, so it's fine
[2012-05-17 12:54:06] xiaobaiyawn - even ur power ...even ur power supply submerge inside the mineral oil?
[2012-05-17 05:19:21] TheZombiesaint - i know it could be ...i know it could be a fire hazard, but i plan to make one of these, but use ethanol instead of oil :)
[2012-05-16 02:26:38] looshkin66 - yeah yer mom was ...yeah yer mom was there too, it was awesome and a good time was had by all. ask if she got that dudes cumstains outta her hair
[2012-05-07 18:28:01] MrJeVai - Actually I asked ...Actually I asked myself too if there was any way I could stop the fans from spining, but the thing is that the fan allow the oil to move around and to keep the temperature down.
[2012-05-07 14:57:22] tnartey - and 76 people ...and 76 people thumbs you up XD
[2012-05-07 08:38:11] dahwan3D - Nobody wants to ...Nobody wants to risk new hardware. Old hardware = let's use Windows XP
[2012-05-07 00:49:03] RamyIsAwesome - why does every ...why does every mineral oil pc run windows XP?
[2012-05-06 20:21:50] vIGinge09Iv - that computer is ...that computer is really gna benefit from being cooled like that :L
[2012-05-04 03:53:24] BuxWV184 - The liquid cools ...The liquid cools the CPU by circulating it (if using a fan) away from the CPU. It works because pure mineral oil doesn't conduct electricity well - tap water which conducts electricity well because of impurities would 'fry' the circuitry as well as give you a serious shock if you try to stick your hand in the aquarium.
[2012-05-03 21:33:45] xxth0mpsonxx - Im confused on how ...Im confused on how this even works
[2012-05-01 21:33:58] poiiihy - Shouldn't you ...Shouldn't you remove the fans? they are useless because they dont blow are anymore.
[2012-05-01 09:03:22] dnscpan - smells Fishy ^_^smells Fishy ^_^
[2012-05-01 01:23:15] deano509 - BABY OIL :) IT HAS ...BABY OIL :) IT HAS NO USE BY DATE

[2012-04-24 11:51:30] universlhaker - Hiii, i like your ...Hiii, i like your idea very much , can you please tell me what grade oil did you use. ? because i am also interested in doing something similar.
[2012-04-21 21:47:48] bfrancisco13 - This guy's a badass ...This guy's a badass cause he defends his intelligence by using abbreviated profanity.
[2012-04-20 23:43:49] yasprosiluyasenya - great!! great!!
[2012-04-19 21:10:07] Yesitis808 - lol. I just meant ...lol. I just meant what if, after building the machine and submerging it, you wanted to Add memory... it'd be a chore to say the least.
[2012-04-19 03:41:00] THEdudeINaSHIRT - i fking know that. ...i fking know that. i found it funny anyway.
[2012-04-19 02:12:45] postmortemspasm - not... sure.. if.. ...not... sure.. if.. trolling..
[2012-04-19 01:37:30] Yesitis808 - Really? Nooo... ...Really? Nooo... That's just dumb.
[2012-04-19 00:08:17] projectfunky - whats an aquarium ...whats an aquarium without FISH
[2012-04-18 19:25:11] outshimed - This video was ...This video was from 2007.
[2012-04-18 17:54:36] ramblingtoad - Hard drives are ...Hard drives are totally enclosed... No oil would get in the moving parts.
[2012-04-18 08:07:28] postmortemspasm - obviously you ...obviously you would put the computer together before you put oil in.. derrrrrrrrrrrrrr
[2012-04-17 16:00:02] TAND0M - Alright, how about ...Alright, how about the fans say, In a power supply. Will they become overwhelmed with drag and become damaged?
[2012-04-16 23:43:31] dirtbikerdann - hope it doesnt ...hope it doesnt leak D=
[2012-04-12 22:22:09] GODLIEK - You can't submerge ...You can't submerge it at all. The drive has moving parts that will be affected by the oil, R/W will slow and the drive will most likely fail in a matter of minutes. You CAN however submerge solid state drives :)
[2012-04-11 00:49:45] Belfor09 - You cant submerge ...You cant submerge your optical drive (laser refraction and slower speeds) and HDD (slower plates speed) Instead you can use SSD if you want submerge your data hardware too but for optical drive its necessary
[2012-04-10 03:31:46] TAND0M - Can you compleatly ...Can you compleatly submerge a herd drive though? Will it effect the read and write?
[2012-04-08 08:25:12] Yesitis808 - dayum! installing ...dayum! installing ram must be a bitch with this setup. maybe not, probably just get your hand all oily. and you're used to doing that every night.
[2012-04-07 14:00:52] THEdudeINaSHIRT - i wasnt expecting ...i wasnt expecting much, it was just really funny reading "good specs" and 2 Gb of ram together
[2012-04-07 13:21:52] VraccasVII - Well, it was ok in ...Well, it was ok in 2007 ;D What did you expect, a Quadfather with 2 FX Quads? :D
[2012-04-06 05:25:32] CopyrightPropaganda - Have you ever taken ...Have you ever taken chemistry? It's the dissolved compounds in water that make it conduct. Pure water itself is non-conductive.
[2012-04-06 04:07:18] GLAORleader - @3bullets4u, If you ...@3bullets4u, If you put Real, Living fish in this thing, they would be dead. Mineral Oil kills fish, they only live in water.... Within a few days, there would be dead fish floating around the computer, getting chopped up by the fan.
[2012-04-03 02:10:39] Starsckie - i didnt even know ...i didnt even know they did ddr2 o.O
[2012-04-02 20:34:27] bvestationfan - Bahahaha nice one. ...Bahahaha nice one. Too bad computers themselves were a new thing when I was in high school
[2012-04-02 13:48:51] MrVilerfox - How do you turn it ...How do you turn it on or off? O_o
[2012-04-02 05:47:10] DMJaber - Mineral oil cooled ...Mineral oil cooled PC's are probably the reason one study redox reactions in high school...
[2012-04-01 13:55:43] bvestationfan - Ummm..... I learned ...Ummm..... I learned about conductivity and free electrons in High School before some YouTubers were even born...... and parts of the explanation I learned from my cousin... he has a PhD in Physics and works as a researcher at Harvard. He went to Cal for grad school and went to Cornell for college.
