[2012-04-06 14:42:42] rolram1973 - Hi can u tell me ...Hi can u tell me about solar cells They said each of solar cell ( 6x6 multicrystalline) .6V, 8amp, 4.8watts. I'm new about solar, but I learned a lot in you tube how to do a solar panel but I don't know how many cells that I need (series solar cells according to this value) if I want 600W solar panel, or may be 100W x6panels. Can you tell me how to calculate each cells. sorry I need 600W to run my 120watts refrigerator 24hrs thanks

[2012-02-07 08:49:56] InfinityVision - 40 Watts is pretty ...40 Watts is pretty low. I'd stick with one marine battery (100 amps or less) because you want to be able to recharge the battery in a decent time frame. Batteries don't like to wait a week to be recharged.
[2012-02-07 08:43:29] InfinityVision - @yamsack You could ...@yamsack You could wire them separately to the controller or wrap them around each other and take that combined wire to the controller. If you want only two lines running to the controller (because of the length it has to go or neatness), you could do that too by wire nutting the positives together and negatives together with a third wire and then running that single Postive/Negative wires to the controller. If you do that, make sure the third running wire is a sufficient gauge!

[2012-01-20 12:53:26] yamsack1 - Hi Dan, I've got a ...Hi Dan, I've got a couple of 68 Watt flexible solar panels that need to be connected to a solar charge controller. Since each panel will have a pos and neg wire (4 wires total), how do I connect these 4 wires to the pos and neg terminals of the controller? Do I simply twist together the 2 pos wires (likewise with the neg wires) and connect the combined wires to the controller's pos/neg terminals? If anyone else who reads this has the answer, I would very much appreciate it as well. Thanks.

[2011-11-02 17:11:17] TheJG1947 - Hello there, I was ...Hello there, I was given a photovoltaic module, brand-new. Although the top resin is cracked, it works, but since I am not an expert I need your help. It's a Tyco Electronics, produces 36, 6 Volts, 7.5 Amperes at 238 Watts; it's big. Is it normal that it won't light a 12v car bulb? It lights Led bulbs though. I was thinking of using it indoor under my loft's window, it's as big as the module. What parts do I need to get it working? What size battery and inverter and other things would I need?

[2011-10-13 08:28:13] Alchaeon1 - at 2:46, the claim ...at 2:46, the claim was made that the power output is increased because the current increased to 1.5 amps. This isnt correct. The power output is actually constant in both configurations (ie when 3 panels are wired in parrallel or in series) Power = Voltage times current. (P=VI) So for 61 Volts at 0,5 amps you get a power output of about 30 Watts And at 21 volts and 1.5 amps you also get about 30 Watts. slip of the tongue perhaps
[2011-10-13 04:15:52] HappyEndingsRescue - watt solar panel ...watt solar panel since the charge controller can handle 20 amps. while the harbor freight charge controller can only handle 4 amps. I hate to hit you up with all these questions but I don't know anyone local to ask. I wish they had college courses 101 on how to learn about solar for private home use.
[2011-10-13 04:13:51] HappyEndingsRescue - I wanted to also ...I wanted to also mention that I got a really good deal on someone who sold me 100 watt solar panel and another charge controller. I placed it up on the roof next to the 3 panels and wired it separately to it's own charge controller and then to the batteries. So basically I have 2 separate kits to one battery bank. I just did this and have hopes this extra 100 watt solar panel will bring my voltage up to 13.5 to 14 volts. Is it ok to do this or should I wire the 3 solar panels into the 100
[2011-10-13 04:09:07] HappyEndingsRescue - solar panel with ...solar panel with only one wire and do I have to run three seperate wires to the charge controller or actually 6 wires with 3 positive and 3 negative. I made the decision to use just one wire 16 gauge to the controller. I have 2 new everstart batteries 29 with each having 125 amp hours for a total of 250. I have noticed that I am not getting the voltage I see from other people who show 13.5 to 14 volts and I am lucky to get 12.1 or 12.2 It won't go any higher. Am I doing something wrong?
[2011-10-13 04:04:05] HappyEndingsRescue - Hi Dan, I really ...Hi Dan, I really enjoy your videos and wanted to ask a question. I recently got my first Harbor Freight Solar Panel Kit and put the 3 panels up on the roof but where my charge controller and batteries are at is about 25 feet away. The wires that come with the solar panels aren't long enough to make it - my question is can I cut the ends off the solar panels where you mount to the charger controller, wire them together (positive to positive and negative to negative and then ad the wire to the
[2011-09-27 19:34:02] MacOSJoey - What would happen ...What would happen if you had them wired in parallel (pos. to pos., neg. to neg.) and one panel got shaded? What would happen if they gave out different voltages?
