( numbers means, have wind and runway) goes on jovially adding, 'btw, which NUMBERS, do you have?' with a chuckle at the pilots expense. is it just me, or do i recall the FAR/AIM Phraseology chapter, "Approving" that particular option for the Pilot, in Leiu of obtaining a full ATIS broadcast, for the myriad reasons, one might imagine? jeez. shorts a bit tight there "landsberg" huh?

Tailnumber? is it even NECESSARY to offer a DME or Fix Location, when interacting with "Z" ? (center) what method does this controller use, to simply 'find you
